Step 1: Remove the 4 plastic grommets on underside of hatch on far right and left sides and under factory 3rd brake light (if equipped) to reveal factory 10mm bolts as seen in fig 1.1 and 1.2

Step 2: If vehicle is equipped with 3rd brake light remove interior hatch trim panel to access the 3rd brake light harness plug and unplug as shown in fig 2.1 and 2.2

Step 3: using 10mm socket unbolt factory spoiler from hatch lid, 2 bolts on far left and right hold the spoiler and 2 center bolts hold down the center light section (if equipped) remove spoiler by lifting up and popping the forward spoiler tips off factory clips (3 per side) also feed plug from 3rd brake light up out of the hatch as well. After spoiler is removed finish by removing any plastic clips still attached to factory metal window frame and cleaning up the rusty mess that is usually under that old spoiler! Shown in fig 3.1 / 3.2

Step 4: if equipped with factory 3rd brake light remove from factory spoiler with 10mm socket. Attach the brake light to the new spoiler with the new supplied bolts and flat washers. Use 7/16th socket to tighten down.  Fig 4.1

Step 5: locate the small marks on the underside forward tips of the spoiler. Using a 1/8th drill bit, drill a pilot hole on the mark. Then attach the new side clips with supplied self tapping screws as show in fig 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3

Step 6: Use silicon sealant around the holes of the hatch to prevent water from leaking through into the car.

Step 7: Set spoiler on hatch and feed 3rd brake light plug (if equipped) back into hatch of car and pop factory grommet back into place. Set spoiler down on top of factory holes and use supplied nuts and flat washers to attach spoiler to hatch. If equipped with 3rd brake light, use factory 10mm bolts to re-attach the center two brake light holes. Gently pull forward spoiler tips outward and let the new clips slip around factory metal window frame. Make sure spoiler is aligned and tighten the outside bolts with 7/16th socket, And the inside brake light bolts with 10mm.

Step 8: If equipped, route 3rd brake light plug back under hatch and plug back into factory harness. Re-attach the interior hatch trim panel.

Step 9: Use factory plastic grommets and re-plug the holes from step 1
